how to distribute multiple tweets

This is a quick-n-dirty twitter guideline for companies looking to Twitter for customer engagement.  Don’t blast out a half-dozen or more tweets every day at the same time of day.

I monitor a company twitter account and one of the entities we follow does exactly that.  The time may vary, but everyday the tweets all arrive at the same time.  I’m guessing they coincide with daily web updates and that the process is most likely automated.  The problem is that they are only hitting the twitterverse once a day, which means they only hit my eye balls once a day (and thus registering in my mind only once).

Would it not make more sense to spread those tweets out throughout the day?  That would mean their tweets were hitting my brain not once, but several times a day.  Would that not be a more effective technique (which is basically a play on the television commercial model)?
