Throw Me The Statue

Throw Me The Statue made a stop at Local 506 on Monday.  Western Civ from Chapel Hill opened.  Not the best of choices but some times you have winners and sometimes not. Oh, well.

TMTS came through NC a few months back stopping in Wilmington. I would have gone then, but office duties kept me home (as they often do).They were in Charlotte the night before (which was tempting in itself).

Loved the TMTS set. I’d say they played about 10 songs including the new song Ship (from the tour only Purpleface EP) and the cover of the Huey Lewis song If this is it (which I was really hoping they would play).  The version of Lolita was killer.  No encore, but that was okay.  The set more than made up for it.
