Roger Clemens

I think Roger is lying. I hate to say it, but that’s what I think (and I’m not alone in that thinking).

If he’s innocent, he certainly has the right to defend the accusations, but does it take an army of high powered, high dollar lawyers? This is starting to remind of the OJ trial, but this time I don’t think the defendant is going to get away with it.

If Roger is guilty, the smart thing to have done was to have admitted it right away. Andy Pettitte did, and even though I hold his usage against him, I respect him for confessing it. It was a smart move on his part. He can pretty much put it behind him and move on with his life. It will probably cost him any chance at the Hall of Fame, but that’s better than weeks/months/years of agony trying fight something you know to be true. Remember, people tend to have short memories for things such as this, particularly in baseball where fans seem to have a “we don’t give care” attitude about the whole steriod/HGH issue.

But Roger is not Andy. He’s too stubborn. He will fight this to the bloody end and the longer he does the uglier it will get. I suspect we’ll see little tidbits of information bubble to surface in the coming days and weeks. Gradually a picture of what took place will form and it will be bad.  Bad for baseball and bad for Roger.

  2. They are all lying.

All TV athelte use drugs. 100%

    Olympics are 100% doped.

Nike’s Lance Pharmstrong to Tiger Woods to leBron & Kobe–all on steroids and other drugs too.

    Fans love doping.

Say it with me — Roger is a liar. Its Marion Jones all over again.
