New Hampshire Eve

This is really not much of a prediction based on everything I’m reading and hearing on NPR, but Obama is going to win New Hampshire. The only question is by how much of a margin?  Hillary will take second and Edwards third.  If for some reason Hillary drops to third, you can stick a knife in her.  She’s done.

I think a lot of people were on the fence with Obama just waiting to see how he did in Iowa.  With his comfortable win people now feel justified in voting for him (and we know there are lots of people who hate to vote for a potential loser even if its their real candidate of choice).  With a win in New Hampshire he’ll have some serious momentum and there will be very little to stop him other than himself.

On the other side of the aisle I put my money on McCain.  Romney’s radical flip flopping on issues is catching up with him and people just aren’t buying into his justifications.  As for the snake oil salesman, he’ll finish third, although I would love to see him drop to fourth or worse.  I don’t have a feel for Guiliani in this race.  He might get third, but I’m guessing it will be fourth or fifth. As for Senator Battson D. Belfry aka Fred Thompson, he’s toast (burnt toast at that). I’ve been listening to the news since Iowa and his named has been barely mentioned. In fact, I can’t recall the last time his name came up.

With where we stand now I think it can be said that Iowa has already decided the Democratic candidate for the President.  All other primaries will be nothing more than pats on the back for Obama.  Nothing against Obama, but this is not democracy.  Its a sham and its sad.
