Waiting for the Leopard to pounce

I pre-ordered my copy of Leopard today.  I had planned to pick it up at the Apple store, but since it doesn’t go on sale until 6:00pm on Friday I’m not desperate enough to wait in what will be a long line of Mac-addicts.  It’s suppose ship for arrival on Friday, but we’ll see if that actually happens.  Frankly, I’m in no rush to upgrade — 10.4 works fine for me — but I figure I should get a jump on it before my users start begging for it.

Something else came out today with regards to Apple… Greenpeace complaining about the toxic chemicals in the iPhone… and I’m not sure how to react to this.  Yes, toxic chemicals are a bad thing.  I have no issue with that.  What gets me is why Greenpeace is making such a pointed effort to attack Apple.

It would have been more appropriate to issue a report that broke down toxic chemicals in a range of phones… say the top ten best sellers… but that’s not what was done.  Somewhere in the background I think there someone at Greenpeace with a bone to pick against Apple or Jobs.  One day it may come out… or maybe not.  It just seems a little suspicious to me.
