655,000

Is the whole of Iraq better now or were they better under Sadam?  I wonder what those 655,000 people would say if they were still alive?  Believe me… I am no fan of Sadam, but what have we honestly accomplished?

Nothing.

There will be no victory because there can’t be a victory.  There will only be losers.  Us. Them. The world.

Its going to be an ugly place for years to come.

I pray that the rest of the Middle East doesn’t end up the same way.

  1. Would things be any better if, when they were founding the new state of Israel, it was founded somewhere in Eastern Europe instead?

  2. That’s an interesting question. Possibly, but I have a feeling there would still be conflicts in the Middle East. They’ve been going at it way too long.

  3. Here’s some interesting commentary to add to this post: http://www.alternet.org/waroniraq/43224/
